Terry’s* book, “Character Blocks”, expresses the importance of one’s personal foundation. The foundation refers to character. She uses the word “blocks” in both the noun and verb form to explain the difference between the good and poor character. The good character traits represent the building blocks that offer support for one’s life, whereas the poor character traits block that support.
It is an easy book to read and just as easy to understand, however, not so easy to apply. Many will read it and say how good it is (hearers of the Word) then some will actually apply the truths and become more like Christ (doers of the Word).
It is a great book for serious disciples who want to gain more of an understanding on not just what to do but also get some guidance on how to do it

I am putting in a strong plug for her book, not because she is my wife, but because I am reading it for the second time and applying the truths that are in her book to my life. It is truly changing me. These are truths that she has learned over her adult lifetime and formerly taught in a local prison for 4 ½ years.
Often times her students in the prison would say “why hasn’t anyone told me this before”?
Terry’s an excellent teacher. The Lord has truly called her for this purpose.

It is my pleasure to offer my highest recommendation for Dr. Terry Donelson. Her ministry, her anointing, and her new book, “Character Blocks”, are all beneficial for every believer.
I’ve been fortunate and blessed to have known Dr. Donelson, for close to 25 years now. She has been one of my “Spiritual Mothers”, who has always taken the time to listen, give Godly counsel and prayerfully advise. I watched her over the years, as she learned from mistakes, heeded counsel and correction from her local pastors, went back to school and evolved into an amazing, transformed woman of God. Today she is a successful Counselor, a Gifted Teacher, and an Anointed Author, who still remains a zealous student of the Holy Spirit.
Her heart is to lovingly ‘steer’ Christians who are ‘well intentioned’, away from some of the mistakes she made, as well as typical mistakes we all can make in our array of life choices. Dr. Donelson’s book, “Character Blocks” teaches and illustrates foundational truths, along with her unique perspective of applying God’s Word to our situations. Every one of us on this journey, can benefit from this much needed, instructional book. This book is a truth, that if and when applied correctly, will change lives. I believe with all of my heart, that her book would be a great tool for churches everywhere. Bible studies could use it, home groups, and any sort of classes for pre-marital counseling, too.
God is answering prayers all over the world, currently. These prayers are answered by different means. Sometimes God will supernaturally, anoint someone to write a book, that will bring about answered prayers-globally. My friend, Dr. Terry Donelson, has written such a book. May it bring clarity, hope and restoration to the lives of all who read it !
